Greetings

- Afternoon (until dark)
- good afternoon (i.e. hello) -- konnichiwa
- Evening (after dark)

- How do you do? -- hajimemashite
- How are you? -- ogenki desuka
- I'm fine -- genkidesu
- Thank you -- arigato gozaimasu
- Excuse me -- sumimasen
